Who this covers
This notice covers this website. Pitchside, a venture of Senso Studio, is the data controller for information submitted here. The platform itself is not yet open; when it is, members and listed companies receive separate, fuller terms covering verification and platform data.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form, and the minimum our servers need to run. If you register interest as an investor we collect your name, email address and the description you select. If you apply to list we collect your name, company name and email address. Our servers also process your IP address briefly, to rate-limit form submissions and block automated abuse; it is held in memory only and is not stored alongside your enquiry.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To read your enquiry, reply to it, and, if it goes further, to begin the membership or listing process. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us, and answering you is the obvious use of what you sent. We do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for, we do not sell or rent personal data, and we run no advertising profiling of any kind.
Analytics and measurement
We measure how the site is used so we can improve it. That is done with Google Tag Manager, which loads our measurement tags, and may include privacy-first, cookieless page analytics. Depending on which tags are active, Google’s tools can set cookies on your device and share limited usage data with Google. We run no advertising pixels, no cross-site ad profiling, and we do not sell or rent your data. You can block these tags with your browser settings or an extension, and the site works normally without them.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider, and an email delivery provider used to notify the small team who review enquiries. They act on our instructions as processors and may process data outside the UK; where that happens we rely on the safeguards their terms provide, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Nobody else receives your details, and we never pass enquiry details to the companies listed on the platform.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while under review and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick the conversation back up, then deleted. Ask us to delete yours sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep a record by law.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop processing it, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Write to us and we will respond within one month. UK GDPR applies, and you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Enquiry data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we collect as little as possible precisely so there is little to lose.
Changes
If this notice changes materially we will update the date below. The platform’s own privacy terms, covering verification and member activity, are issued before anyone is onboarded.
